“My husband and I recently had the pleasure of stay here for the night whist on a business trip to Plymouth. Carla was extremely welcoming and our room was outstanding. A gorgeous 4 post bed with a spacious en suite. We loved the extra touch of the toiletries in the bathroom, and the breakfast was outstanding! WiFi was supplied throughout the hotel (even in our room) and it was blazing fast.” Kimberley J’s review on Trip Advisor
“My wife and I recently stayed at the Edgcumbe and I must say how pleased we were. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Carla, the owner, was fantastic, she even gave us some great advise on where to go and great Restaurants to eat at. The room was spotless as was the dining room which leads me to breakfast. WOW – fantastic, need I say more. I am having to re-visit Plymouth on business so have already booked another 10 day stay. Definitely recommend” – this one from Spookeymoo from Bristol, again on Trip Advisor

2012 marks 100 years since one of the most courageous deeds in our nation’s history of exploration. Captain Robert Falcon Scott and his Terra Nova Expedition team bravely walked across 800 miles of snow and ice to the South Pole, reaching their destination on 17 January 1912. Sadly, tragedy struck during their return journey and they perished in the cold wasteland as they ran out of food.
Scott was born and educated in Plymouth and the city is honoured to mark this important anniversary.
